JANI LINEAR: So how does this unique magazine come up with its TOP40 singles of the year? Well, the results were based on a weekly Top 40 as ranked by the soundscanning ability of the A.I.R.FORCE crew. Each chart starrer gets points and the song with the most number of points goes to # 1. Bonus points were awarded for every week in the Top 10 and @ # 1. Plus songs with special recognition as HOTTRACK, EARPICK, FLASHMAKER, HOTSHOT DEBUT & WILDCARD.
DARKMAN: After considering the listeners’s response over the local aiorwave and MINUS ONE readers’ feedback, we sum up all the songs’ weeks on the chart and come up with the final ranking. If two songs ever tied for points then we weigh in the peak position of the song and its longevity on the chart. See how simple that is!
